Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus,
Lord, it is my desire to be spiritually, physically and emotionally healthy so that I am a proper vessel to carry forth Your message of Salvation. First and foremost, I pray that You would put a fire in my heart for You, and that I would develop a healthy appetite for Your Word; my spiritual food.
I recognize Lord that for my spiritual muscles to grow and be healthy I must have a healthy spiritual appetite. Father, an adult cannot survive on a child's portion of food, and I realize that neither can a long-time Christian survive on a baby Christian's portion of food. Therefore Lord, like a parent encourages their earthly children to eat what is good and healthy, I ask You to encourage me to digest the proper amount of spiritual food to grow; for everything that is healthy grows.
I pray for Your wisdom when choosing foods to nourish my physical body. I ask that You would help me resist gluttony. Lord today I purpose in my heart to eat properly and exercise regularly, to honor Your temple ( 1 Corinthians 6:19-20), which is my body. I thank you for divine health and am believing to live out the full 120 years of my life as the Bible promises, should Jesus not return before that time. I understand that there is a spiritual and natural side to healthy living, and today declare that I will strive for a healthy balance in both areas.
Finally Lord, I thank You for what You have already given me. I thank You for ( *insert what you've been blessed with. e.g. sight, smell, hearing, the ability to walk and run, all the things we take for granted* ), and I ask that You would continue to hold Your hand of blessing and protection over my life
In the mighty name of Jesus I pray and declare these things,
